A Year of Adventure...2012

Wow. 2012. What a year.

This has been a year of extreme change for me and my husband. We bought a house. We sold a house. I left my job of eleven years. I started a new job, which says a lot in this economy!

I would not be telling the whole truth if I didn't admit that these transitions were a little more difficult than I anticipated, and on some days, honestly, it got pretty stressful. But I would also not be telling the whole truth if I did not admit that living through this has provided me with a great deal of strength. Strength in my marriage, whereas I thought I could not love him more, my husband has been my best friend and my rock of stability through the year and all of its trials and tribulations. Strength in my relationships, in my ability to maintain friendships despite distance and time, and in my excitement in developing new friendships. Strength in my conviction, knowing who I am, what I stand for, and what I am willing to fight for.

As far as I am concerned 2012 was pretty darn successful and while I might not be able to check all of my resolutions off my list, I certainly tried. And trying, making an effort, is really what makes life an adventure worth having.
