2013 Photos: Week 2

This week was a good one. First week of work in 2013. It went pretty well.
Got a lot done, and there is a lot to look forward to...

Photo of the Week: Week 42

This week has been the week of laundry looming.

Don't get me wrong, I have a genuine disdain for most chores, and can avoid most of them with genuine fervor, but for some reason I am really good at postponing the folding of the laundry. I really do not like folding clothes. It is totally *not* my favorite. I don't mind washing, and switching between the washer and dryer. For some reason, folding clothes is just like pulling teeth. I take that back, I pull teeth with much more enthusiasm that I fold clothes (as weird as that is.)

I think everyone has a chore that they hate to do. Folding laundry is one chore that I confidently put off pretty regularly. What is your favorite chore to postpone?

In honor of my actually folding clothes today, this week's photo of the week includes photos of my laundry. You. Are. Welcome.

Can you tell how much the pile grew? I should have photographed the one lone short basket when it was all by its lonesome, but I forgot. So, here is a picture of my super cute nephew instead. Poor guy wasn't feeling well, but he was still in pretty good spirits.... clearly he did not get that from our side of the family.

Photo of the Week: Week 35

This week was a whirlwind of a week.

I started the week by starting my new 6th grade teaching job. On Tuesday, my new students and I began our  new adventure together.  So far so good! :) Honestly, everyone has been very sweet and I really look forward to all the fun we are going to have together.

We also got into a bit of a fender-bender this week. This very sweet man rear-ended us. Both Aaron and I are fine, but I was fairly shaken up seeing as how I saw he was coming. I cannot speak so well for our poor little Prius.

I decided that buying shoes would make me feel better.

I hope you all had an excellent week. :) ♥

Photo of the Week: Week 34

I had a wonderful week of training with my new coworkers. Our days were busy with professional development, and collaboration.

This week was also exciting because I inherited a class pet...

And I got to have lobster for lunch....

Yesterday, I went on an exciting trip to a nearby casino with all of my good-friends from CF. We were so caught up in laughing, catching up, and having fun, we didn't take a photo. I wish we had. It makes me happy to have memories, but I would have loved to have a photo.

But, since I don't have a photo of my best girl-friends, I will post a photo of my super cute nephew. He is so adorable!

Photo of the Week: Week 29

This week we began a remodel of my Mom's bedroom. She/We have been wanting to do this for a long time, so it is nice that we were finally able to make it happen.I will have a whole blog dedicated to this DIY Weekend... so stay tuned.

A nice surprise was that my brother brought my nephew over to "see Grandma on her birthday." I thought that was pretty sweet.

Also, on an unrelated note...I killed a ginormous black widow in my garage. I *hate* crunchy black spiders. I feel really bad putting a picture of this heinous nasty creature next to my super cute nephew, but I want all of the internet-reading black widows of the world to see what their futures would look like if they decide to reside in my house. Ug. I *hate* crunchy black spiders.

Photo of the Week: Week 28

Half of my summer vacation is gone! BOO! We had a lot of fun this week. Of course, did I take any photos? Nope. On Saturday we celebrated my sister's and my mom's birthdays. We had a BBQ with friends and family. It was pretty awesome. The one thing I did take photos of was my nephew... so here are a few more pics of the cute little man.

This week, I want to thank all the Dads.

To my dad, I love you and appreciate all you do and all you have taught me....

Photo of the Week: Week 17

I can hardly believe that this week begins the month of May! Oh my gosh! Time has certainly flown by.

Things are insane here at the Plattner Place. Last week we had CST testing at work. Those kids worked their booties off and tried their best.

Great job, kids! You did wonderfully! I really am so proud of you!

All the while Aaron and I are trying to get the Turlock house packed up to move into the San Jose house. But more importantly, we celebrated my dad's 60th birthday this weekend.

If I was a good daughter, I would have taken tons of photos of my dad. Instead, I took photos of my nephew. I did get a few of Dad with his new grandbaby!

Happy 60th Birthday, Dad!

Adventures in Family: I'm an auntie!

My mom has been wishing for grandbabies for a really long time. Last night she got her wish!

At 9:35 pm on March 12, 2012,  my sister-in-law gave birth to my nephew. Born at 7 lbs, 4 oz and 20 inches long, he is most handsome little fellow I have ever seen!

It was an absolute honor to be in the delivery room with her and my brother for the special moment. Being there when my nephew was born was certainly a wonderfully magical moment.

He is absolutely precious, but don't take my word for it, see for yourself....
